What was the highlight of H Resort - The Coral Cliff
A disappointing stay
The staff were polite and front desk staff were helpful. They offer some complimentary water activities.
We were very disappointed at the state of the hotel given the pictures we had seen online which must have been taken some time ago. The hotel is very tired looking and poorly maintained. Despite it being a non-smoking hotel, our room smelt strongly of smoke and the bathroom flooded every time we showered. Staff are polite but the service is incredibly slow (we waited almost 1 hour during a basically empty dinner service for our food and had similar wait times for all meals). The restaurant has very limited options for vegetarians and both the veggie and meat dishes are uninspiring with several items out of stock. We were given breakfast vouchers upon check-in and told to use these in the restaurant only to be informed halfway through breakfast the next day that these weren’t included in our room rate and that we would have to pay - we challenged this on the basis that we were given them by reception staff and ultimately didn’t pay for the one, disappointing breakfast. There was a wedding on during our stay and we had to walk through the wedding party to access the small part of the restaurant which was cordoned off for hotel guests - this was uncomfortable for us and expect the wedding party felt the same. The hotel was generally clean but the pool looked like it needed some serious deep cleaning.
